Our Trip to Cedar Rapids… The Barka Lounger!

These pictures were taken with my Blackberry – not very good quality. However, the images are priceless to me. I never had so much fun lying around with the family on Barka Loungers. They are the most comfortable chairs. We all sat around in the living room and napped – we each had our own chair! It was a very relaxing trip.

Matilija, Ojai – Hiking Today!

Today, I’m going hiking with Michael and Anna Laura. It has been a good year since I’ve been out on the trail and I miss it.

I’d like to plan a 3 day backpacking trip this year. Never can one forget the sights, sounds and scents of a backpacking trip. My trip with Linda to Mt. Whitney is one of those pieces of time that will stay indelibly in my mind – the pictures pale in comparison.

There is no other way to witness wilderness without going out into it.

It’s Not Funny But I Can’t Help But Laugh About It!

Each month when I send out my Work Organizer Newsletter, there are usually a handful of people that unsubscribe. This is normal.

Going back to Oct/Nov, Linda suggested that I do some cold-calling. I mean, walk door-to-door. I did it for 2 days – a couple of hours. It was barely tolerable.

On my little journey, one women suggested I call her in the beginning of the year, so I had her on my schedule to call this week.

THAT WOMAN UNSUBSCRIBED TODAY! I can’t get arrested in this town! I will just keep looking for work, for a job… until some spaghetti sticks to the wall. If not, I’ll get a cardboard box and light a bonfire under Cold Springs Bridge.

Ah, the irony.

Michael is working on yet another project. There is never a time when there isn’t something that needs to be done around here. I am so grateful for my hands-on man. Look at him go!

It never ceases to amaze me how much he knows. Today he was using a cut-off saw – I didn’t even know we had one.
